ABOUT
FRANCA is a Queensland lighting and objects studio established in 2023 by interior designer Isabelle Bayly, working between Brisbane and Noosa. Every piece is 3D-printed locally and made to order, keeping production lean and waste to a minimum.
The studio works in PLA, a biodegradable thermoplastic derived from renewable plant sources such as corn starch and sugar cane. Fluid, textile-like silhouettes inspired by nature and by Issey Miyake’s pleating make the material read more like silk or satin than plastic, a quietly radical take on sustainable lighting.
The range spans pendants, wall sconces, table lamps, vases and objects, with the recent Plug-In Collection, in Chloe, Celeste, Coral and Eden Column styles, offering renter-friendly options that need no electrician.
