The award-winning, two-hatted Reine & La Rue treated us to an absolutely beautiful lunch. Each dish was a culinary masterpiece, perfectly paired with local wine.
The venue, the iconic Cathedral Room, showcased the beauty of preserving and repurposing Melbourne’s historic buildings. This stunning space is a testament to the potential of revitalising our existing architecture instead of expanding outward. It’s a reminder of how important it is to invest in the spaces we already have, breathing new life into them while honoring their heritage.
The panel discussion featuring Gideon Obarzanek, Rebecca Yazbek, Dr. Bree Trevena, and Katya Crema was enlightening. These visionary leaders shared bold ideas and progressive projects that will shape Melbourne’s future, emphasising the significance of design, community, and cultural experience in urban development.
